Cokethorpe School’s Curtis brothers had a good day at the English Schools Track & Field Cha-mpionships in Gateshead.
Freddie Curtis won silver in the intermediate boys’ javelin with a national standard thr-ow of 66.02m.
Younger brother Redford won bronze in the junior event, throwing 48.70m.
However, Jackson was out of luck, having to settle for sixth in the senior contest, with an effort of 56.21m.
