ELLIE Nutt landed the swimmer-of-the-match award as Witney finished fifth in the Leicester Penguins Trophy Gala at Braunstone.

Nutt won the award for her victories in the 13 & under girls’ 50m breaststroke and butterfly.

The runner-up vote went to Open swimmer Dan Harkin and 12 & under girl Lauren Cummings.

Harkin won the men’s 100m IM and was second in the 100m backstroke.

Cummings performed well in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly.

WITNEY finished third in the second round of the Milton Keynes Junior League at Stoke Mandeville.

The 12 & under girls’ age group showed their strength with wins in both relays.

Swimmer-of-the-match was ten-year-old Cathy Naus for her victory and personal best in the 10 & under 50m breaststroke.
