OSTLAND could return to Market Rasen for a crack at the valuable Summer Plate on Saturday, July 16 after making it three wins from as many starts over fences for Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon with victory at the Lincolnshire venue.

Having recorded two novices chase wins, the six-year-old successfully stepped up to handicap company to beat Rockiteer by a neck under Felix de Giles in a contest over two miles and six furlongs.

Meanwhile, Longsdon has brought Qhilimar back into training with the aim of having a crack at the Kerry National at Listowel on Sunday, September 11.

The seven-year-old, a winner at Sandown last term, hasn’t been seen out since refusing in the Midlands National at Uttoxeter in March.
