RUBEN Rodrigues will again face a late fitness test to determine whether he will be involved for Oxford United at the weekend.
The Portuguese midfielder missed the midweek draw at Reading after taking a knock to the ankle in the defeat to Peterborough United.
U’s head coach Des Buckingham downplayed the severity of the injury, and confirmed that the club will again give Rodrigues as much time as possible to prove his fitness ahead of the home clash with Burton Albion tomorrow afternoon.
Buckingham said: “He picked it up at Peterborough in the second half before he came off. He went for a tackle and it opened his ankle slightly.
“It’s nothing too major, it’s a sprain and nothing more. It’s just about how quickly it reacts and settles down.
“He’s gone out with the physios, and he will be a very late call whether or not we involve him.”
“He’s come in and done fantastic, and hopefully he stays as long as possible.”

Stan Mills meanwhile was in some discomfort when he was substituted midway through the second half against the Royals, however he should be fine to face the Brewers.
Buckingham said: “Stan’s good for the weekend, he took a knock in the first half and tightened up at half-time when he came in, and it just started to seize up in the second half.
“He came off for that reason, but he’s good for Saturday.”
