CIARON Brown says Oxford United will put the disappointment of not claiming a derby win behind them as they move quickly onto the next game.
Brown gave United the lead against Reading, however Sam Smith found an equaliser just four minutes later.
Northern Ireland defender Brown made a run from left back to head in Stan Mills’ right wing cross.
He said: “I just found myself inside the pitch, and it went to the other side, and I gradually drifted inside the box and it was a good cross.
“I got my head there first and I was glad it went in.
“I saw it and decided I’m putting my head in there. I didn’t know what was going to happen next and I’m glad I did.
“Our performance deserved it at the time, and it was just nice to get a reward for a good performance until then, and then we were unfortunate to concede the goal before half-time.
“I thought our reaction was good after the goal we conceded, and we’ve probably done enough to get the three points, but obviously it wasn’t our day and we just go again on Saturday.”
