ARDLEY United and Shrivenham lost on the opening day of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season.
Goalkeeper Sam Eeles was sent off in Ardley’s 2-0 defeat at Bishops Cleeve, while Shrivenham went down 4-1 away to Longlevens.
Abingdon Town had five different players find the net as they began with a 5-1 thrashing of Woodley United in Division 1 East.
Ciaran Keaney, Jacob Ochola-Bolger, Naeem Dogar, Kyreece Martei and Turibio Dos-Santos were on target.
Conor Ingram netted after 30 seconds as Abingdon United kicked off with a 2-1 victory at Langley.
Jack Gaul scored the visitors’ other goal.
Wallingford Town also made a winning start, 3-1 at Chalvey Sports.
But Thame Rangers lost 3-0 at Holyport, with Clanfield 85 losing by the same margin at home to Thornbury Town in Division 1 West.
