MICHAEL Alexis is excited about working alongside childhood friend Eddie Odhiambo at North Leigh next season.
Alexis, 35, has committed to stay on with the Millers as player/coach under boss Craig Dore.
And joining them is Eddie Odhiambo, who has arrived from Banbury United.
Alexis, pictured, said: “The thing I am most excited about is working alongside Eddie.
“He has been my best friend since the age of eight and we played together throughout our childhood years.
“The three of us have been discussing the season ahead and we are determined to build a great atmosphere and winning environment within the club.
“We really do believe that this will be our year.”
Alexis only made two appearances last season after joining from Didcot Town, before opting to focus on coaching.
He has already had success in his day job – as head coach at Moulton College in Northamptonshire his side have not lost a league game for two seasons.
Alexis, who has his UEFA B Licence, said: “It was a shame that last season was cut short because we were heading in the right direction with the group of players that we had.
“I said last year that we’d make the playoffs and I honestly think we would have.
“But working alongside Craig was really good and we built up a great relationship and now I honestly cannot wait to get started.”
