AFTER a dramatic Ted Young Senior Cup final, Hailey secured their second trophy of the season with a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory over FC Hollybush in the final at North Leigh FC.
After a goalless, but entertaining first half, Hollybush were reduced to ten men when Dan King’s high tackle saw him sent off.
Sean King then headed Hailey in front, but Danny Brearley then got his head to a Bradley Bryant free-kick to level the scores and take the game to extra time.
Jack Wood restored Hailey’s lead from the penalty spot.
But with just a minute from time, Hollybush were dramatically awarded a spot-kick of their own.
Craig Mays converted to take the game to penalties.
But Hailey held their nerve to lift the trophy, Wood netting the winning spot kick.
