SEAN Walkinshaw moved a step closer to the GT300 title in the Super GT Championship.
The Chipping Norton driver and Autobacs Racing Team Aguri teammate Shinichi Takagi finished fourth in the penultimate round at Autopolis, Japan, despite qualifying 22nd.
As a result, they extended their lead to 12 points.
Walkinshaw said: “Obviously, the result was fantastic considering how bad qualifying was.”
