JAMES Bolton took victory at a rain-soaked Hanney 5 and won county gold in the process.

The Woodstock Harrier triumphed in 27mins 21sec in an event which doubled up as the five-mile race of the Oxfordshire Championships and Bolton landed the vet 45 title.

Eynsham’s Robert Storey landed the vet 50 honour, with clubmate Kate Allred the top ladies vet 45.
