SEAN Walkinshaw is relishing his return to the Blancpain Endurance Cup at this weekend’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.
The Chipping Norton driver is challenging for the GT300 title in the Super GT Championship in the Far East.
But he has been drafted in by Didcot-based RJN Motorsport for the fourth round of the Blancpain season, partnering Struan Moore, Jordan Witt and Ricardo Sanchez.
They will run in the Silver Cup class, with the quartet sharing driving duties behind a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
Walkinshaw will be competing in the race for a third time and cannot wait to take to the famous Belgian circuit once again.
He said: “I’m delighted to be back racing at Spa in the 24 Hour race.
“It really is the biggest and best GT3 race in the world – the crown jewel really.
“I’m looking forward to working with the RJN guys once again.
“We’ve got a competitive line-up and a great car in the
Nissan.”
The 24-year-old added: “It’s going to be a lot of fun racing the GT-R NISMO again – the car I started my GT3 career in – and hopefully we can have a very competitive weekend.
“The main aim, of course, is to do the best job possible for the team to help Struan, Jordan and Ricardo take away some big points for their Silver Cup championship.”
