WOODSTOCK Harrier James Bolton finished second in the overall vet 40 standings after a strong performance in the final round at Hill End, Farmoor.
Bolton crossed fourth overall in the Oxford Mail Cross Country League men’s race, just three seconds behind David Lewis, of Eynsham Roadrunners.
The latter’s performance helped Eynsham finish second in Division 2, behind Witney Roadrunners.
In the women’s event, Hannah Hale, also of Eynsham, came second in the overall senior standings, despite not competing at the final round.
Clubmate Katherine Bates won the vet 55 title.
