TOWER Hill Ladies fell to a 5-2 defeat at Ascot in Southern Region Women’s League Division 1.

The hosts took charge within the first minute, with Lucy Holzman-Clarke breaking through the defence to open the scoring.

Samantha Bevan-Talbot volleyed home the equaliser for Tower in the 14th minute, but Ascot raced into a 4-1 lead at the break.

Hannah Evans headed home, before Lauren Broadhurst and Holzman-Clarke found the net.

Lauren Major replied for Tower in the second half, but Holzman-Clarke completed her hat-trick to make it five.
