JAMES Bolton clinched the Motavation Series Vet 40 title after finishing fourth overall in the final race in Oxford.
The 42-year-old Woodstock Harrier finished a place and four seconds behind closest rival Paul Fernandez, of Abingdon AC, but did enough to win the age group.
Steve Naylor, who lives in Witney, but runs for Bedford & County, made it three successive victories by winning the final round by 50 seconds from senior men’s champion Kieran White (Wimbledon Hercules).
However, having only competed in three races, Naylor missed out on qualifying for the series.
In the senior ladies event, Jessica Webb, of Woodstock Harriers, is overall champion, despite not competing in the final round.
Witney Road Runners’ Frankie Snare was the first senior lady home in Oxford, crossing in 62nd overall.
Belgrave Harriers’ Sophie Carter, from Woodstock, clinched the Vet 35 crown after coming 33rd and first in her category.
Kate Williamson, of Eynsham Road Runners, won the Vet 65 event after also being first home in her age group.
