Pegasus Juniors 0, North Leigh 3
North Leigh stormed back to the top with a resounding Hellenic League Premier Division victory at struggling Pegasus Juniors on Saturday.
Kevin Lewis opened the scoring on the half-hour, running on to Simon Futcher's ball over the top to lob Pegasus keeper Brian Kirkham.
Ten minutes later, North Leigh went further ahead with Futcher scoring from the penalty spot after Andy McCabe had been felled.
The visitors wrapped up victory in the 73rd minute, Liam Hope breaking clear to score with a looping shot which the giant Pegasus keeper got a hand to, but could not prevent crossing the line.
Milton Utd 0, Witney Utd 1
Witney returned to winning ways after Jamie Butt's first-half strike gave them the points.
Ben Border's corner was flicked on at the near post by Christian Perkins in the 38th minute, and Butt stole in unmarked at the back post to fire the ball home.
Paul Tassell had earlier been at his best to deny Vinnie Rusher, tipping a 30-yard free-kick over the bar.
Butt's goal gave Witney confidence, and a superb cross by Mark McMeeking was met on the volley by Nando Perna, but the ball flashed wide.
Witney looked like doubling their lead just before the break, when a pass by Lee Keyes released John McMahon, who was denied by a superb last-ditch tackle by Dean Flockton.
Early in the second half, Darren Howell shot against the bar for Milton, but Witney kept up the pressure, almost doubling their lead when Mark Simms brought a fine save from Milton keeper Dave Tasker.
With five minutes left, Witney almost let their lead slip.
Indecision from Tassell saw him miss a long ball, allowing Patrick Malone a clear run on goal.
However, Butt produced an excellent clearance to deny the Milton man, and after that, Witney held on without further alarm.
