Carterton rattled off a century as they kept up the pressure at the top of Division 1 with a 108-68 win against strugglers Witney Mills in the Oxford and District Bowls league, sponsored by Yarnton Nurseries.
The result saw Carterton cut the gap on leaders Headington A to just two points and they recorded a ton in the process.
West Witney also topped the hundred mark in their defeat of Banbury Chestnuts, which almost certainly ensures the latter’s relegation.
In Division 3, Chipping Norton won on all four rinks as they pulled off a shock win at home to table-toppers Watlington.
Woodstock were restricted to single figures as they lost at home to Oxford.
Chadlington returned to the top of Division 4 with a 90-68 thrashing of Hanborough by an even bigger margin and go back to the top. Chadlington meet Banbury Central next week in a match that could determine the top two in the division.
