Azure Fly made amends for throwing away certain victory for Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon on his previous start by opening his account with an easy win at Stratford.
The five-year-old had unseated Noel Fehily by swerving violently left after the last flight when ten lengths clear at Southwell last month.
But there was no repeat of those wayward tendencies as, fitted with ear-plugs and cheekpieces, he cruised home by 31 lengths under Fehily in a maiden hurdle over an extended two miles.
