This is a reader's letter sent into the Oxford Mail
Dr Alan Hearne from Woodstock has written a letter suggesting that Boris Johnson should be welcomed to Oxfordshire after his £3.8 million move to Brightwell Manor.
If your report that Boris Johnson and his family now live in Oxfordshire is correct, let us welcome them to the county.
As ardent supporters of ‘net zero’, he and his wife will no doubt wish, as soon as possible, to install a heat pump, solar panels and double glazing in their new property.
However, because it is a listed building, they will need planning permission and listed building consent to do this work and the associated upgrade in its insulation."

People in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell have raised concerns about the presence of armed police and drones since the former Prime Minister's arrival in the village.
