THE Princess Royal will visit Charlbury next month as part of celebrations marking the town's 750th anniversary of being granted a Royal Charter.
The princess is due to visit Charlbury Museum, in Market Street, on Friday, September 15.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the engagement, and said further details of her visit were to be finalised.
The princess will also be in Abingdon the same day.
It was in 1256 that Charlbury was granted a Royal Charter, allowing markets to be held in the town. This year, the town's annual street fair will have a theme celebrating the 750th anniversary.
The fair, which takes place on Saturday, September 16, and includes stalls, an evening parade, and dancing in the streets, raises thousands towards the upkeep of the town's Corner House and memorial hall.
Last December, the Princess Royal visited Wallingford as part of celebrations marking the town's 850th anniversary of being granted its Charter.
