A Witney-based engineer's cause of death was electrocution, an inquest opening heard.

Andrew Claridge, of Charterville Close, Minster Lovell, died on Thursday, November 14.

An inquest was opened into the 34-year-old's death by area coroner Nicholas Graham at Oxford Coroner's Court on Monday, November 25.

The guttering engineer died at Hunters Moon House, Charney Road, Longworth, Abingdon and his death was verified by paramedic Ian Powell.

A post-mortem was carried out and found his cause of death to be electrocution.

It is reported there was an incident while he was at work and he subsequently died.

A full inquest will now be held at Oxford Coroner's Court on April 22 next year.
