A section of the A40 was closed after emergency services were called to a concern for welfare incident involving a teenager.
Police and fire and rescue crews from Witney Fire Station were called to an incident in the vicinity of the A4095 Bampton Road where it crosses the A40 dual carriageway at Witney at about 11pm last night (November 11).
Both roads were fully closed at the time with Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service releasing a statement alerting people to avoid the area while blue light services were at the scene.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Police confirmed today this was a fear for welfare incident for a teenage girl.
The A40 was closed for safety reasons, but the incident was safely resolved with no injuries.
