Hundreds of pounds have been raised for an Alzheimer's charity through a walk in Witney.
Residents, carers, former employees, family, and friends of Cedar Court Care Home, which is based in the town, gathered for the charity memory walk around Witney town centre to support the Alzheimer’s Society.
The event was inspired by the memory of the care home’s administrator Ann Cornelius’ mother, Beryl, and aimed to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research.
A total of £359 was raised, with donations continuing to come in after the walk had finished, as participants engaged with "many well-wishers along the route who generously contributed to this worthy cause".
Ms Cornelius said: "The memory walk for me was in memory of my mother, who passed away last year after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
"Raising awareness and money will aid further research and help find a cure for dementia."
Nicoletta Ungureanu, the manager of Cedar Court Care Home, added: "It was wonderful to see our team come together for the Alzheimer’s Society charity.
"The turnout demonstrated how much people care about this disease within our community."
Cedar Court Care Home said it is "incredibly proud of the community’s support and is committed to continuing the fight against dementia".
It added: "Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated in this meaningful event."
