A potential crash was avoided after a car went the wrong way into a motorway slip road.
A silver Ford S-Max was driven into the M40 slip road at junction 8A for Oxford Services in the wrong direction.
The incident happened on Thursday October 10 at around 12.30pm.
Thames Valley Police's roads policing unit is now appealing for witnesses.
Anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage of it is asked to please call 101 and quote crime reference number 43240487843.
There are specific charges related to travelling the wrong way down a slip road or on the motorway but the most common charge for driving on the wrong side of the road is “driving without due care and attention,” also known as “careless driving.”
