The start of works on a junction at the centre of a 13-year campaign has been delayed.
Oxfordshire County Council has issued speed restrictions for Shores Green/High Cogges to allow construction of two new westbound slip roads on to the A40 from Witney.
They will allow traffic to join the A40 going west.
Speed restrictions were due to start on September 7, 2024, and Oxfordshire County Council said it expects to complete the project towards the end of 2025.

However, the dates for this speed limit reduction have been further revised to November 4 - 6 by the contractor.
The 70mph speed limit will be reduced to 50mph on sections of the A40 eastbound carriageway approximately two kilometres either side of Stanton Harcourt Overbridge and on the A40 westbound for approximately 2.5 kilometres between Hill Farm Overbridge and Stanton Harcourt Overbridge.
The national 60 mph limit will also be reduced to 30mph on the B4022 (slip road off the A40 westbound) from the junction with South Leigh Road to the 20mph limit at the junction with Jubilee Way traffic lights, and also on the eastbound A40 slip road for 100 metres.
