STAFF at Jeremy Clarkson’s new Oxfordshire pub have told customers when the star will be at the pub.

The former Top Gear host purchased The Windmill pub in Asthill near Burford for around £1,000,000 and renamed it The Farmer’s Dog.

Mr Clarkson opened the watering hole on Friday, ahead of schedule, to massive crowds eager to try out the venue and grab a pint of Hawkstone.

The 64-year-old has made various appearances at the pub over the bank holiday weekend causing many to travel to the venue in the hopes of spotting him.

One staff member was talking to a pair of customers this weekend and confirmed it is hard to know just when Mr Clarkson will be at the watering hole.

He said: “We never really know when he’s coming but he’s here often.

“But he will pop in and out like just now as he has just gone.”

The staff member was alluding to the Grand Tour star being at the pub on Sunday but fans watched as he drove off waving to the customers in a white car later in the afternoon.

Mr Clarkson himself responded to a fan asking when he would be in the area this week on social media platform X.

The fan asked: “Are you at your farm this week? I’m in the Cotswolds and am going to visit.”

“I’m at the farm every day,” responded Mr Clarkson.
