Jeremy Clarkson has made an admission ahead of his final ever adventure with James May and Richard Hammond.

The trio will call time on their 22 years together with the final-ever episode of the Grand Tour which itself has been running for eight years.

Debuting on Prime Video on Friday, September 13, the special will take place in Zimbabwe and feature some teary scenes according to the show’s executive producer.

Andy Wilman said: “Not much happens, so anybody who thinks they’re going to get Avengers Endgame is going to be disappointed because it is deliberately gentle,” he said.

“But their camaraderie is next level, and I think you can see it. They know that this is the last time we’ll do this, that and the other.”

“I think they say goodbye better than any presenters could ever say goodbye because they’re so close.

“They’re so close as people, that they can take the piss out of saying goodbye and then be emotional as well.

“So it’s quite weepy.”

Clarkson has also commented on the upcoming finale and has made a big claim regarding his adventures with James May and Richard Hammond.

"It's my favourite one we've ever done,” he said.

“I've always thought we'd never go anywhere better than Botswana, and now we have."

The 64-year-old looked sombre and thoughtful in his scenes during the new trailer for the Zimbabwe special released this week.
