Police have provided an update after two children were hit by cars in Oxfordshire.

The first incident saw a child hit by a car at the Sainsbury’s supermarket car park on Oxford Road in Kidlington at around 4pm on Thursday, June 27.

A Mazda 2 collided with the child who was left injured but did not require hospital treatment.

Then another child was hit by a car in a hit-and-run incident at approximately 3.15pm on Wednesday, July 10, when the boy was crossing the A40 near Eynsham.

The 15-year-old fell into the road and was struck by a passing vehicle resulting in him being taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Thames Valley Police reported at the time that the driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and the boy has since been discharged from hospital.

The force has now confirmed to the Oxford Mail that no one has been arrested or charged in connection with either incident as investigations continue.
