A PUB and restaurant in West Oxfordshire has been granted planning permission for eight additional rooms in a stand-alone new property on-site.

The plans for an additional eight guests rooms will bring the total number of future rooms to 12, plus the adjoining cottage.

The work will be commencing early next year, with a six to nine month build time.

The establishment is described on its website as 'a modern British Inn, delivering relaxed and welcoming fine dining in the heart of the Cotswolds'.

It is based in Nether Westcote near Chipping Norton. 

Owner of The Feathered Nest Inn, Adam Taylor, said: “The new guests rooms will bring a great boost to the overall guest experience and commercial viability of a business that seeks to be at the heart of its community.

Th Feathered Nest Inn has also recently appointed a new head chef. 

Recently appointed head chef Renemar Pinedo fuses his Caribbean heritage with his training to offer his creative take on the elevated British menus, showcasing Asian and Caribbean influences, and his passion for fresh seafood and open grill cooking.

Mr Pinedo grew up in Curaçao and has worked in the kitchens of Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and HIDE previously.

Having now been promoted to head chef at the Feathered Nest Inn, he's bringing the open fire and seafood cooking of his Caribbean roots to its menus.

Th pub's menus are seasonal and locally sourced, with fish brought in fresh daily and many of the herbs and vegetables grown in the pub garden.
