After weeks of wet weather the sun came out for Carterton's first-ever food and drink festival.
Pop up kitchens served street food and delicious drinks which could be eaten outside on picnic tables.
Shoppers browsed a good variety of stalls offering a choice of goods from crepes, cheeses, preserves, sweets and organic veg deliveries to pottery, outdoor furniture and garden ornaments.
The shopping was accompanied by entertainments including live music.
There was also a small fairground ride for children and an ice-cream van.
The town's inaugural Food and Drink Festival took over the Market Square for three days of food and drink at the weekend, aiming to shine a spotlight on local food and drink businesses.
