One of Oxfordshire’s major historic visitor attractions has announced an exciting new launch of gins for the summer.

Blenheim Palace has crafted three new gins in partnership with Bicester-based Sky Wave Gin distillery.

The gins all feature ingredients that were grown from the gardens within the Blenheim Estate and have been created to showcase the history of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Blenheim Palace Signature Gin features lavender and rosemary from the walled gardens and is made using the ‘one-shot’ method.

A technique used to make only the top five per cent of gins in the world, this means nothing is added after distillation except the Blenheim Palace Natural Mineral Water.

The second gin in the partnership with Sky Wave Distillery is a sloe gin named ‘The Butler’s Gin’.

It was designed to evoke images of the Palace Butler sipping a nightcap in his pantry.

The final gin in the trio is called ‘The Head Gardener’s Gin’.

Witney Gazette:

Created following consultation with Blenheim’s own head gardener, it features strawberries and juniper from the palace gardens.

Blenheim Palace, although most notable as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, is now home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough.

All three gins are available to purchase as a gift or souvenir from a visit to the palace on the official website or from the on-site Palace Shop.
