A WOMAN has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
It comes after an incident on November 13 last year.
Today Thames Valley Police has revealed that Becky Taylor, aged 29, of Lancut Road in Witney has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
She will now appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 23.
Assaulting an emergency worker is classed as an ‘either way’ offence meaning the person who is charged can be dealt with at Magistrates’ Court or Crown Court.
If the magistrates deem the case too serious they will send it to Oxford Crown Court to deal with.
The offence currently carries a maximum sentence of 12 months imprisonment.
