Tower Hill Primary School claimed the Oxfordshire School Games Under 11 girls' football title with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Charlton Primary School in last month's final.
Amy Dale scored a last-gasp winner to see the Witney school come from behind against their Wantage rivals and lift the trophy for the first time.
The win made up for defeat for Tower Hill at the same stage last year.
Tower Hill had made the final with a penalty shootout victory over Oxford school St Joseph’s, with stand-in keeper Sky Graves saving the decisive spot-kick.
Tower Hill places great emphasis on PE. It employs a specialist teacher, Joel Graham, who delivers PE lessons and coordinates sports clubs every day after school.
Mr Graham said: “This is a remarkable achievement from a relatively small school that places sport and PE right at the heart of the education it provides.
“These girls’ success is just the tip of the iceberg and we hope they can inspire other children in the school to achieve great things and, more importantly, have fun being active and taking part in sport.”
