Residents at Madley Park House were entertained with a medley of classics and their own song requests at their end of summer tea party.
The Witney care home, run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), held the event in their ‘Heart of the Home’ lounge, where residents and team members joined in singing and dancing with entertainer Cody who was making a return following the pandemic.
Resident Sheila said: “Being able to watch Cody play the guitar again was wonderful.”
Peal added: “It was so good to see everyone up and dancing, it was a lot of fun!”
Party-goers tucked into an array of cakes, some donated by relatives and others cooked by the home’s kitchen team, along with an afternoon tipple, or soft drinks.
The event was organised by Activities Co-ordinators Gill Hamblin and Kerry Hyatt.
Kerry said: “After a tough year and not being able to hold our usual events, we wanted to have a joyful afternoon where everyone at the care home could let their hair down and really have some fun. It was so heart-warming to see the huge smiles on our residents' faces, the entire room felt full of love and happiness.”
