JEREMY Clarkson fans created traffic queues at his west Oxfordshire farm following the launch of his new TV series.

Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime reveals the TV presenter’s life on Diddly Squat Farm, in Chadlington near Chipping Norton.

But the demand from fans at the weekend, who flocked to the site in a bid to see Mr Clarkson and the farm created such major traffic queues that police were called to tackle the congestion - although no one was arrested.

One resident wrote on a Facebook forum: “Avoid going anywhere near Diddly Squat farm shop, whole road is blocked again, but worse there are people stopping on the 60mph bend with nowhere to go.”

But some readers responded on Facebook and did not complain about the traffic.
Instead, they said how much they were enjoying the new series and thought it was one of the best TV shows he had ever made.

“Shame about the traffic but he seems like he’s trying to sort out additional parking.

“A lot of it was because people weren’t actually going up the road to see if the car park was full or not and just parking on the road.

“Most of the time we were there there were spaces in the car park but the road was blocked off.”

“When we looked at the farm shop the queue was enormous ( why would anyone queue like that). The caravan park next door had ‘bouncers’ to ensure no one drove in there. It was chaos. Great show.”

SARAH WILLIAMS: “I hope he gets recognition for bringing farming life to the people. Much better than Country File!”

CAT DIPPY: “Valerie Di-Pietro this was why you couldn’t get in!
