WITNEY MP Robert Courts joined forces with conservationists to mark the Queen's lifetime service to the Commonwealth.
Mr Courts helped volunteers at the Wychwood Project, based in Witney, to plant five trees in Foxburrow Wood, near Witney.
The trees were donated through a partnership between the Woodland Trust, Sainsbury's and ITV, which in April screened 'The Queen's Green Planet', a documentary combining Her Majesty's commitment to the Commonwealth and her love of trees.
The Woodland Trust provided 50,000 trees for ITV viewers as part of the project and offered a special commemorative pack to MPs.
Mr Courts said: “We are immensely fortunate to have the Wychwood Forest and other stunning woodlands on our doorstep and I hope these trees will act as a symbol of West Oxfordshire’s commitment to protecting and enhancing these vital habitats.”
