HAVE you ever dreamed of spending your day creating Lego models for the whole world to see?

Well one excited 11-year-old may now get the chance.

Hannah Kirkham has been picked from hundreds of children to be interviewed by the world-famous Legoland theme park to potentially become a junior model maker for a day.

Hannah, of Long Hanborough, used her skills to build a cat with the building blocks for the contest, the first of its kind held by Windsor theme park.

She said: “I’m really excited. It took me about three days to build the cat.

“It was the first time I had tried to make an animal so I am pleased.

“My favourite things are buildings for my Lego people to live in.

“It would be really cool to build Lego all day when I am older as a job.

“I’ve been playing with Lego since I was little when my parents got me a big box.”

Senior model maker Giorgio Pastero said: “We get inundated with inquiries from young fans fascinated by what we do.

"We wouldn’t get much work done if we opened the doors to everyone so this year we have decided to run a special competition.”

Hannah will head to the theme park next Tuesday with her family before being interviewed in the same way an adult would be for a job.

She and the other candidates will have to make models, alone and as part of a group, to a plan and using their imaginations.

The winner will shadow the official team for a day this summer and will be able to make models for the park.
