SENIOR members of the community in Leafield got together on Saturday to celebrate the 60th birthday of their over-60s club.
Leafield Evergreen Club has been providing social activities for over-60s since 1953.
Members held a party at Leafield Village Hall, in Lower End, to mark the diamond anniversary.
They enjoyed a meal and an old-fashioned knees-up, with music from Wantage folk band Pandemonium.
Club secretary Jean Sweetser, 76, said: “Everyone enjoyed themselves. When Pandemonium did the old folk songs like Molly Malone we sang along and when they did the Morris dancing tunes, we got up and danced.”
The club meets once a month and also organises summer outings and shopping trips.
