FOR the past few years Witney author Michael Limmer, who works at Hilltop Garden Centre, Ramsden, has been writing for charity.

All profits from his publications are shared between three charities: Child & Family Aid, which helps poor families and orphans in Romania and Moldova; Starfish Asia, which helps fund Christian schools in Pakistan; and Barnabas Fund, which aids persecuted Christian minorities around the world.

He has already published a thriller, The Last Breath of Summer, as well as two novellas and several booklets of short stories and poetry.

Now he is celebrating the completion of his second thriller, Don’t Start Now, the story of Jerry Blore, a recovering alcoholic who is determined to prove that his former girlfriend is innocent of the murder of her popstar lover almost 30 years previously.

The book is available from St Andrew’s Bookshop, in Witney High Street, and at Hilltop Garden Centre.

Mr Limmer said: “Writing for good causes is such a satisfying thing to do.

“I’m thrilled to be able to raise funds for my favourite charities this way.”
