THOUSANDS of fans of steam power and vintage transport flocked to Ducklington, near Witney, for the 14th West Oxon Steam and Vintage Show at the weekend.
An estimated 5,000 people attended the two-day event to see steam engines, vintage tractors and machinery on display at The Field, in Standlake Road.
There were also children’s activities, including balloon modelling, workshops and a bouncy slide.
Anne Harris, secretary of the event, said: “It’s absolutely phenomenal, it’s really, really been good.”
There were nine steam traction engines on display, along with numerous vintage lorries – one exhibitor brought along his collection of 31 lorries – plus cars and caravans.
Six-year-old Katie Kennett, from Abingdon, right, was among those being entertained by balloon modellist Professor Crump.
Her mum Wendy Kennett, who also brought along Ryan, 11, and Amy, eight, said: “She loved it.
“She thought Professor Crump was great and followed him round all day.”
