A 38-YEAR-OLD man is expected to appear in court shortly charged with five offences linked to the 12-hour stand-off in Kidlington.
Daniel Rodriguez has been charged by police with two counts of possession of an imitation firearm, one of using an imitation firearm with intent to resist arrest, one of possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid and one of false imprisonment.
It followed the siege on Tuesday at a flat in Morton Avenue in Kidlington.
Police, including armed officers, were called to the scene at 3.40am. Rodriguez's twin daughters were let out of the property at 9.45am and 11.37am unharmed.
Rodriguez was then arrested by police within the property four hours after the second daughter had been taken away.
None of the charges relate to the girls.
Rodriguez is due to appear at Banbury Magistrates Court today.
He has also been charged with an additional three counts of rape and one of sexual assault.
