Woodstock Harriers’ Jessica Webb is in pole position to take the senior ladies’ crown ahead of the final race of the Motavation Series in Oxford tomorrow night.
Webb leads Rebecca Campbell, of Headington Road Runners, by three points, heading into the race, which begins at Oxford Harlequins RFC in Marston Ferry Road.
In the Veteran 35 event, Woodstock’s Sophie Carter, running for Belgrave Harriers, leads the way.
Eynsham’s Jacqueline Pinnock is a point off the top in the Vet 55 category and clubmate Kate Williamson heads the V65 field.
In the men’s, Woodstock’s James Bolton is just a point ahead of Paul Fernandez, of Abingdon AC, in the V40 standings, while Matthew Ray (Eynsham) is second in the under 19 event.
Meanwhile, Bolton prepared for tomorrow with victory in the Headington 5.
The V40 runner finished in 26mins 22secs, beating second-placed Fernandez by 17 seconds.
Witney Road Runners’ Dan Blake was 11th and Benedict Pollard, of Eynsham, 13th, while Carter was the second V35 in 27th.
