Woodstock Harriers James Bolton was the first west Oxfordshire man home as he finished 121st in Sunday’s 35th Virgin Money London Marathon.
The Vet 40 crossed the line in 2hrs 34mins 33secs, in the race which was won by Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge in 2.04.42.
More than 37,500 runners completed the gruelling 26.2-mile course from Blackheath to Westminster.
Bolton’s clubmate, vet 35 Sophie Carter, from Woodstock, recorded a personal best of 2.48.25 in the ladies’ race.
It saw her lead first claim team Belgrave Harriers to a silver place in the ladies’ team category.
