Sophie Carter, Denise Bridges and Jessica Webb ensured Woodstock Harriers A clinched the Oxfordshire County Road Relay title at Abingdon on Sunday.
The trio completed the course, which started at Abingdon Rugby Football Club in Lambrick Way, in 59mins 14secs, 44 seconds ahead of second placed Oxford City A.
After Bridges’ first leg, Woodstock were in fifth place, but Webb hauled them to the front of the pack in a time of 19.23 – the fourth fastest time of the day.
Carter went on to set the quickest ladies leg in 18.58 as Woodstock came home in first place.
In the men’s senior race, Eynsham Road Runners’ A team crossed the line in third.
Robert Storey, Matt Ray, Mark Baker, Dayfdd Warburton, Chris Williams and Graham Bridges recorded an overall time of 1.53.03.
In the veteran men’s event, Woodstock Harriers A clinched second, while their A and B teams finished third and fourth respectively in the ladies race.
