The Midcounties Co-operative is offering a £2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest after a shop worker was sprayed with 'vanish liquid' and taken to hospital.

The incident happened at about 10.10pm on Saturday, October 7 last year when a member of staff at the Co-op in the High Street, Eynsham, challenged a group of people believed to be shoplifting.

As a result, one of the group sprayed vanish liquid at the shop assistant.

The shop assistant suffered injuries to their eyes and needed hospital treatment.

The Co-op is offering a £2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the incident, if the information is provided by the end of May.

Thames Valley Police has reissued CCTV images of a group of four individuals officers would like to speak to following the assault.

Investigating officer PC Nicky Beltran, said: “I am appealing to anybody who recognises the four individuals in these images to please get in touch with us as we believe they may have vital information about this incident.

“If you are pictured, please come forward as soon as possible."
