MORE than 70 students took part on stage and behind the scenes in a production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at Witney’s Henry Box School before Easter.
Drama teacher Bethan Todd-Jones, who directed the show, said: “The production was a phenomenal success, with many audience members saying it was the best school production they had seen.
“I’m so proud of all the students involved. This is a very challenging show and required a huge amount of dedication and enthusiasm from all students and staff involved.
“There was a real buzz about this show and the flashmob we did in the centre of Witney to promote it a few weeks ago added to the whole experience.”
The leading roles in the show were taken by Matthew Russ as Jesus, Louisa Anderson as Mary Magdalene, Lewis Morley as Judas and Tom Edmunds as Pontius Pilate.
